Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


We are looking to recruit an experienced band 5 Occupational therapist to join our busy community hospital in-patient team, at Feilding Palmer Hospital, based in Lutterworth.

Within our 10 bed community hospital in-patient ward, we deliver sub-acute care and rehabilitation to patients with a wide range of complex needs. The post holders main responsibilities will be to assess, treat and progress our patients through to a timely safe discharge once medically fit so they can continue their rehabilitation at home if able with the appropriate services.

You will need to have excellent communication skills and work closely with colleagues within an established integrated team. The ward has a multi- disciplinary approach to patient management. Patient centred goal setting is an integral part of this role. You will need to demonstrate and develop your professional accountability, innovative thinking and contribute to our ward vision.

You will have support from the multi-disciplinary senior team and access to regular profession specific supervision.

We offer training and personal development within the wards and at our learning and development centre to ensure you have the knowledge and skills to meet patient needs and complete your CPD requirements.
