Solent NHS Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Director to lead and drive clinical excellence across the Specialist Dental service. This role will lead the development of strategy, enabling the service to take responsibility and accountability for the delivery of operational and quality outcomes.

This post will set the direction for dental services, ensuring that safety, effectiveness and service user experience are at the heart of delivery. As a Clinical Director you will translate our vision and values into a safe, sustainable and efficient service through effective governance, financial planning and people development.

You will be someone who is innovative, credible and resilient with highly developed interpersonal skills, capable of leading a mobile workforce across multiple localities. Collaborative, quality driven and with a proven ability to influence a range of stakeholders, you are not afraid to challenge or implement change to enhance service delivery. You will have confidence in managing variable and sometimes competing clinical and business needs. The successful candidate must be able to lead by empowering others to deliver strategic milestones and nurture a commitment to continuous service improvement.

This is a challenging and exciting role in a dynamic Community Trust that offers in return the opportunity to work with passionate and committed people who are genuinely transforming the way in which integrated health, social and primary care is delivered in the community. As a valued member of the clinical leadership team, you will be GDC registered and on the specialist list for Special Care dentistry. You will also require a performer number to work within NHS Primary Care Dentistry .
