The Role

A new opportunity has arisen for a Project Manager to join our successful and established delivery team based within the IM&T Directorate of Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospitals Trust.

 

What will you do

As a Project Manager you will be joining a successful delivery team to work on a variety of challenging and innovative projects focusing on improving patient care and delivering efficiencies throughout the Trust. The role will report to the Lead Project Manager and will work closely with a range of stakeholders.

 

The Project Manager role is key to the success of the IM&T delivery programme and is accountable for the coordination, implementation and control of assigned projects. The role will provide leadership to the project team and work closely with Key stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered to agreed quality expectations, on time and within budget.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of assigned projects.
  • Identify project risks and determine mitigation actions or contingency plans.
  • Ensure project completion, acceptance and handover criteria have been met.

About you

We are looking for a highly driven candidate with excellent communication skills and a desire to deliver fast paced change.

 

Key Requirements

  • Hold a current recognised project management qualification, preferably PRINCE2 Practitioner or equivalent experience in project management techniques.
  • Have broad experience of managing multiple enterprise level IT projects.
  • Experience of leading and managing project teams
  • Have experience of supporting senior management level Project Boards
