We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and qualified Cook for 28hrs a week to support the catering team at Charlton House Community Resource Centre in Keynesham, Bristol. In this role you will be part of a small team that eagerly serves and prepares a range of breakfasts, lunches and afternoon meals to our residents.

You will work within a busy and vibrant kitchen and be responsible for daily food preparation and cooking, working to the highest standards of cleanliness, safety and compliance with hygiene regulations.

Duties will involve: food preparation and cooking, some meal planning, portion control and cleaning. You will be involved in food ordering as well as attending meetings to plan the weekly menus. You will have a valid Food Hygiene Certificate, desirable or NVQ equivalent.

Good communication skills and the ethos to relate to older people and their dietary needs is essential, along with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

Shifts are 7.30am to 3.30pm, 5 days per week, with a shared weekend and bank holiday rota. Uniform is provided.

Weekday Rate (Monday to Friday):

£7.58 - £9.01 per hour (dependent on experience)

Weekend Rate (Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays)

£11.36 - £13.56 per hour (dependent on experience)
