TRUST FELLOW IN PAEDIATRIC CARDIAC INTENSIVE CARE AND MECHANICAL SUPPORT (ST3-8)

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our well integrated team.

This is a 2 year post, subject to satisfactory completion of first year. It is suitable for a senior trainee with at least 18- 24 months of experience in paediatric cardiac intensive care, ECMO, mechanical support, heart failure and cardiac transplantation.

This post provides unparalleled opportunity for senior trainees in paediatric intensive care medicine to further their specialist experience in heart failure, mechanical support and transplantation. There are many research and service development opportunities. The Consultants support trainees fully and the level of responsibility given depends upon experience.

As well as the rapidly developing fields of cardiac transplantation, ECMO and mechanical support in this supra-regional centre; the paediatric cardiac intensive care unit looks after the full range of congenital cardiac operations for our regional population.

All successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month’s pay. You will be required to sign a DBS payment form which will be issued to you as part of your recruitment process.
