The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a Substantive Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon in Breast Surgery.

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above post. This post is based at the Glenfield hospital, with some cross site working included.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake management of patients requiring a wide range of Breast Surgery and multidisciplinary care and to work in liaison with Consultants within the department. Opportunities to develop an area of special interest are available and encouraged.

The post holder will be a core member of the Breast Cancer MDT.

We are an active and expanding reconstructive unit with close links with the Plastic Surgery department at the Leicester Royal Infirmary, who provide free flap reconstruction facility as well as immediate and delayed option. There is also a dedicated breast ward with experienced nursing staff. There is a compliment of junior medical staff and specialty trainees.

Applicants must have full registration with the GMC and be in possession of the FRCS (Gen) or equivalent and CCT/CESR in General Surgery (or within 6 months of completion)

Desirably the successful candidate would have Fellowship training in Breast surgery.
