Vascular Limb Salvage Specialist Nurse - Band 6

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, self-motivated nurse to join the Vascular Limb Salvage (VaLS) clinic team based at Glenfield Hospital, as we continue on our journey to Becoming the Best.

We are looking for an individual with a strong affinity for multidisciplinary working. The suitable candidate will need to demonstrate evidence of excellent communication skills and clinical leadership with a strong desire to make a positive impact to patient care. Specialist support and training will be provided for the right candidate, however relevant clinical experience in vascular nursing or similar would be a distinct advantage.

The successful candidate will be expected to provide a high quality, patient-centered service for patients attending the VaLS clinic with critical limb ischemia, diabetic foot ulceration and peripheral arterial disease. In collaboration with the Band 7 VaLS Specialist Nurse and the VaLS clinic co-ordinator you will be working closely with a broad range of the multi-disciplinary team, including Vascular Consultant's and their medical teams, Clinical Vascular Scientists, Vascular Specialty Nurses, Internationale radiology, angio-suite and the vascular ward. This will provide you with the ability over time to develop an expert level of knowledge in this dynamic specialty.
