Are you passionate about saving lives? Are you interested in applying your strong administrative skills to a crucial health communication programme?

NHS Blood and Transplant (NHSBT) is looking for two Business Support Officers to support two crucial programmes that promote the importance of organ donation within local communities. It’s an exciting time for organ donation as the law is changing in England in Spring 2020 and this is an opportunity to support a vital communication strategy and ensure people understand organ donation, their choices, and the importance of having a family conversation.

One role will lead on administratively supporting the Organ Donation Ambassador Programme, a newly developed national volunteer scheme managing passionate advocates for organ donation as they engage in local marketing activities such as educational talks and information stands. The second role will be administratively supporting the BAME Community Investment Scheme, which provides grants to trusted organisations to promote organ donation within their community.

The day to day work for both roles will be varied. The successful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good planning and organisational skills, and strong problem solving approach to challenges.

Both roles will be integral parts of the marketing and communications team at NHSBT, and provide an opportunity to gain experience in grassroots, community-led marketing interventions. You will have an opportunity to engage with people, events, and organisations from a wide range of diverse backgrounds all with the same goal of saving lives.

Our aim is to be an inclusive organisation that reflects the diverse communities we work with and as such we positively encourage applications from all sectors of the community
