An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to join our nursing leadership team in the position of Deputy Ward Sister/Charge Nurse on the Endoscopy Unit, Leicester Royal Infirmary.


The unit undertakes a number of specialist therapeutic endoscopic interventions and or routine upper and lower Gastro intestinal procedures.


We are looking for a dynamic and creative Deputy Sister/Charge Nurse to manage staff and patients through a busy Endoscopy suite. A nurse with endoscopy skills in admission, procedure room skills, recovery and discharge; one who will provide excellent training to staff and support team members to achieve and maintain specific endoscopy competencies. You will assist the ward sister to lead and deliver evidence based care on a day to day basis.


You will also be responsible for organising internal educational programmes ensuring staff meet the standards required by the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) guidelines for Endoscopy.
