The University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust is seeking to appoint a Locum Fixed Term Consultant in Plastic surgery to cover Maternity leave. This is a locum fixed term post for 12 months, with a view for extension for the right candidate.

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above post. This post is based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake management of patients requiring a wide range of Plastic Surgery and multidisciplinary care and to work in liaison with Consultants within the department. Opportunities to develop an area of special interest are available and encouraged.

The timetable will be agreed with the post holder to reflect the demands of the service. The post holder would be expected to work flexibly. Duties of the post may include teaching of junior staff, nurses or students.

Applicants must have full registration with the GMC and be in possession of the FRCS (PLAST) or equivalent. You should have experience at a Senior Registrar level or equivalent in Plastic Surgery. Desirably the successful candidate would have Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy experience and microsurgery experience.
