Practice Nurse (Senior Clinical Practitioner) City Health Centre

Salary: £35,000-£50,000 per annum pro rata.  Hours: 37.5 per week

We are actively recruiting for a Practice Nurses to be a part of our dynamic team across Tameside and Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to work in within a practice that is part large organisation, with a diverse and unique patient population. Potential opportunities to work with projects involving the homeless, LGBT and Primary Care Access Service along with some new developments working with the new Primary Care Network and neighbourhoods.

What does being a Practice Nurse at gtd healthcare involve?

Our Practice Nurses use their skills to assess, diagnose, treat and provide advice, care and management for primary care patients that present with diagnosed or undiagnosed undifferentiated illness. If you want to provide excellent patient care in an innovative environment, this is could be the role for you!

Practice Nurses also have the opportunity to flexibly work across gtd healthcare sites, including opportunities if desired, to work within primary care, urgent care and telephone triage.

What skills and experience will you need to apply?

  • Educated to nursing degree level or equivalent
  • Experience in chronic disease management
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
    Effective communication skills both on the phone and face to face
    Cytology and child and travel immunisation experience
    Proven level of accuracy and attention to detail
    Want to improve and initiate new services for patients

Higher salaries within the KSF are obtainable with the following skills:

  • Non-medical prescribing
  • Clinical skills qualifications
  • Ability to flex within the services gtd offer
  • Working autonomously
  • Application of advanced clinical expertise
  • (Skills are assed yearly by appraisal)
