Operational Lead for Continuing Healthcare - Band 8b

Mid Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (MECCG) is looking for an outstanding individual to lead our dynamic and high-performing continuing healthcare team. This is a highly visible role leading partnership working across commissioners and providers to


  • Ensure timely and robust assessment and procurement for continuing healthcare based on the National Framework.
  • Lead innovative partnership working to improve patient care and value for money, for example personalised health budgets, and new procurement approaches to sourcing continuing healthcare


We are looking for an exceptional individual who can lead effectively in detailed and complex casework as well partnership innovation across the wider frailty care pathway.


The successful candidate will demonstrate strong delivery of formalised governance frameworks, attention to detail and integrity in complex decision-making; effective management of the CHC budgets; credible leadership skills across the care economy; track record of effective innovation to add value.


The successful applicant will also have highly developed interpersonal skills, with an ability to gain and maintain credibility and trust with senior clinicians.
