Hours: Full Time 37.5 per week

We are pleased to be offering an exciting opportunity for a Full time Associate Practitioner on an initial 18 month contract with a possibility of a further extension, to join our Immunology team based at the Leicester Royal Infirmary.

Our Immunology department provides a unique opportunity to experience a comprehensive repertoire of Immunology investigations of routine and specialist immunology assays for the diagnosis and management of autoimmunity, allergy, immunodeficiency and haematological malignancy.

The successful candidate will have a Foundation degree or equivalent and will be working primarily on a joint collaboration project with a commercial partner to help in the development of new assays. You will need to demonstrate an interest in Immunology and be a well motivated team member who is able to prioritise, meet deadlines and work on your own initiative with minimal supervision. You must be able to demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills and be capable of working accurately and efficiently under pressure. Previous laboratory experience is essential for this post.

When not performing project work, the successful candidate will also support the routine service as an Associate Practitioner for which full training will be given.

Current departmental operational hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
