This is an opportunity to join the Trust’s HR Generalist Team, providing dedicated support to the Estates & Facilities Directorate (approx. 1,600 staff).

Initially a fixed-term contract for 12 months, but with the possibility of the appointment being made substantive.

Our Business Partners work alongside Clinical Management Groups and/or Corporate Services Directorates, leading on the provision of a strategic, operational and business-focused HR service to all staff, including complex case work, organisational change, workforce planning and development, employee relations, leading and influencing organisational change.

They also contribute to the development and implementation of HR strategies and service plans and take responsibility for the management of a Trust wide corporate work and/or management of specific areas related to HR/OD.

Specific challenges for this post include:

  • participating in high volume case work (absence management, disciplinary and grievance matters);
  • managing-out ‘legacy’ (non-AfC) terms and conditions;
  • overseeing the Directorate’s Timesheet Management team
  • working to bring the Directorate within the scope of the Trust’s main HR/Workforce systems and processes
  • developing the Directorate’s use of HR/Workforce KPIs

 

Applicants need as a minimum Associate CIPD membership, a postgraduate diploma in HRM and significant post-diploma employee relations experience in a unionised environment. Experience gained in a large-scale industrial services environment would be advantageous.

 

The primary base for will be Leicester Royal Infirmary, but you will be required to work across all three acute hospital sites and travel to other NHS sites.
