Recent developments within our Trust have given us the opportunity to expand the ultrasound service, with a focus on sonographer role extension, education and leadership.

 

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptionally motivated individual to join our dynamic ultrasound team as Clinical Lead Sonographer for Obstetrics and Gynaecology joining the three other ultrasound clinical leads to provide a high quality, responsive diagnostic service delivering excellent patient care in line with the Trust’s core values.

The successful applicant will already have proven specialist skills in obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound imaging and will be expected to lead by example, maintaining clinical expertise whilst promoting high imaging standards and be responsible for the continuous monitoring and audit of the obstetric and gynaecological ultrasound service.

 

They will be required to develop, manage and supervise the ultrasound component of the Fetal Anomaly Screening Programme at UHL and to ensure compliance with National Screening Committee and FASP standards and represent the department at appropriate Trust Committees and to contribute to the successful overall performance of the Trust.

You must have excellent communication and organisational skills. A commitment to CPD and the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team is essential for this post.

Above all, patients must be at the forefront of your practice with a commitment to the future development of the Ultrasound Services at UHL.

Previous experience working in the NHS is preferred.
