This is an exciting opportunity with the introduction of a part time Clinical Educator for Urology Services.

Are you an experienced, self-motivated Urology Nurse with a passion for improving the education, training and support for staff? If so this exciting new opportunity could be for you. We are looking to add a motivated and dynamic individual to our Urology team, the post holder will lead on the clinical education within wards, departments and specialist teams, working across all areas within the Urology Directorate.

The successful post holder will be a proactive, visible role model with excellent clinical credibility and excellent communication skills.

Your skills will be crucial to the continuing development of the teams. You will work in the service ensuring we have the right skills in the right place at the right time to deliver excellent quality services. This will involve developing and delivering training and education programmes for new and existing staff. The post holder will be required to:

    • undertake a training needs analysis and ensure that training is delivered to meet these needs; this will include Trust Mandatory Training compliance. Clinical skills education will be developed through competency based packages
    • support the Trust and department governance and patient safety agenda, leading on training to deliver standards and quality of service required.
    • actively contribute to the Trust’s corporate agenda and will develop collaborative working relationships with other clinical educators in the Trust, helping to support sharing of good practice and learning.
