East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group is a leading NHS organisation. Working closely with partner organisations, the CCG’s staff design, plan and commission health services for more than half a million people and monitor the quality and effectiveness of those services.


Our forward thinking, financially robust and clinically-led organisation is based in the centre of Welwyn Garden City, a 1920s ‘garden city’ in the heart of Hertfordshire. Welwyn Garden City is 25 minutes from central London by train and easily accessed from the A1 and other major road networks.


As Information Lead, you will provide information analysis, validation and reporting to support the effective management of the CCG’s contracts, working as part of an integrated team with contract and finance colleagues. This will include:


    • Providing business intelligence through monitoring and analysis of provider activity data, identifying and investigating trends and variances;


    • Managing the monthly contractual challenge process, working with providers to identify erroneous data and charges;


    • Supporting the main acute Contract for the CCG, through the provision of proactive and ongoing information analysis;


    • Supporting activity planning and the agreement of information requirements as part of the contract negotiation process;


    • Development of new processes to enhance existing information collection and reporting procedures to meet the changing needs of the CCG’s information requirements;


    • Management of Information Analyst(s), as appropriate.


We are looking for someone who doesn’t just have excellent problem-solving and technical skills, but is also an effective communicator able to explain complex subject matter to a wide variety of colleagues and stakeholders. Experience and knowledge of NHS datasets and conventions would be advantageous.
