Our dynamic Essentia workforce team are looking to appoint a Senior Workforce Advisor to join us during an exciting time as we continue to improve our services.

Essentia directorate is part of Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust. Responsible for non-clinical healthcare services, Essentia designs, builds and maintains healthcare infrastructure vital to the smooth running of healthcare services. This encompasses everything from construction projects, infrastructure and healthcare planning to waste management, housekeeping, transport and security. Essentia employs around 1,800 people.

The Workforce Advisor will focus on a wide range of generalist HR activities, proactively supporting recruitment, organisational change, analysing data and providing regular management information, employee relations, TUPE transfers, to facilitating the Essentia Induction programme, delivering training and policy briefings as required and supporting Essentia’s Academy and Apprenticeship scheme. The role will be key in leading and supporting the co-ordination of a range of workforce projects in line with our workforce objectives.

Reporting to the Associate HR Business Partner the post holder will act as the first point of contact for the Essentia workforce team and take responsibility for elements of service provision.

The successful candidate will have generalist HR experience and a proven track record of working closely and supporting managers. The ability to influence, negotiate and build productive working relationships is important.

Working location:Our services span across Guys, St Thomas, Great Dover Street and the Community. We will expect you to regularly travel and be based across all our services.

Working days and Working hours:We are happy to talk flexible working because our services require this. A lot of our services work 24/7, with shift patterns. This role requires working evenings, and weekends as and when required in order to support delivery of our services. This means you can start your working day later, and maybe not work a week day. We are happy to discuss part-time, job share, shift patterns.
