We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and highly motivated individual to join our team as an Assistant Procurement Specialist. You will work closely with a range of staff across the organisation and beyond, playing a significant role in the continued development of a high quality service.

The Assistant Procurement Specialist role will require the candidate to deliver procurement exercises and projects across a variety of categories, with a particular focus on Theatres, Surgery, and Therapies across both Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust and the Isle of Wight NHS Trust. They will be required to take responsibility for the purchase of goods and services by delivering a portfolio of contracts, whilst maximising cash releasing benefits.

Excellent analytical and numerical skills are essential, as well as a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

This is a busy, interesting and dynamic department to work in. You will meet a different challenge every day and the successful candidate will be an integral part of the team providing a first class procurement service to the Trust.     There will be a requirement for all post holders to be mobile and attend meetings at client sites, so travel across the geographical area will be expected.
