We are looking to recruit a permanent Band 8A Clinical Psychologist (0.8wt) into the Sheffield LD CAMHS In patient service.

Ruby lodge is a specialised, 7 bedded unit designed to work with young people up to the age of 17 years old, who have a diagnosis of a moderate to severe learning disability with an additional mental health condition. You would be joining a well staffed and dynamic multi-disciplinary team which includes nursing, psychiatry, speech and language therapy, OT and teachers.

We are looking for a motivated and hard working individual, who will support the team with assessment, formulation, and therapeutic input for young people as well as supporting the wider team in delivering psychologically informed care.

We would be willing to offer this as a development post with a package of support to enable a less experienced psychologist to develop and progress with the team.

This post will sit within the wider Psychology team which supports all of the inpatient lodges at the Becton site. In addition Sheffield has a large number of clinical psychologists working into child services and there are many opportunities for CPD and cross training events.

We welcome applications from both experienced Clinical Psychologists and those who are more recently qualified. Band 7 applicants who wish to take the opportunity to develop into an 8a role will be considered.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
