The Quality Assurance (QA) section within the Pharmacy Department supports the Aseptic Services unit, the ‘Specials’ pre-packing licensed manufacturing activity and the Radiopharmacy units in ensuring drug safety, efficacy and quality are maintained. This is achieved by incorporating Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) guidance and complying with the various regulatory requirements that are in place.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality team as QA Validation and Systems Co-ordinator. The successful candidate will be actively involved in implementation of validation protocols, generating and progressing reports on non-conformance records, and assissting with the environmental monitoring to ensure continuous improvement. An NVQ Level 3 in a physical or biological science or equivalent is essential but an undergraduate degree will be ideal.

Previous experience of cleanroom monitoring would be an advantage, however training will be provided. The Department uses the Q-pulse™ document and quality management system and experience in this would be an advantage.

The role offers opportunities to develop skills in Quality Assurance and scope to be involved in developing the service as the team grows to support the Trust’s long term objective of achieving a licence for the Aseptic unit.

We are looking for a keen, enthusiastic individual with a demonstrated ability to learn quickly and with a good understanding of computer systems.
