Senior Clinical Support Worker

We are looking for enthusiastic people who enjoy working with children to join our expanding team in Outpatients.

The Outpatient Department is based over 4 sites:- Sheffield Children’s Hospital, Northern General Hospital, Ryegate Assessment Unit and Centenary House. We care for children aged 0 - 16 years. Outpatient clinics cover many medical and surgical specialities. Our philosophy is to enhance family centred care, working in partnership with parents and carers and the wider multi-disciplinary team.

Previous experience in a paediatric environment is desirable. You should also have NVQ Level 2 in Healthcare, with consideration of working towards NVQ level 3 in Healthcare. There will be an opportunity to develop practical nursing skills under the supervision of qualified paediatric nurses to enable the appropriate delivery of care to our patients.

These posts will be subject to organisational change to working times and working patterns. Part time and full time hours are considered. Hours of work is primarily between 8-6 with options of additional evening and weekend work.

This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
