The Children’s Community Nursing Team & Special School Nursing Service works with children and young people with both acute & complex health needs in the borough of Bury.

This post will be based primarily within the Special Schools environment working within the role of Special School Nurse but will require flexible working across a range of community bases including patients homes to meet the health needs of the children & young people.

You will work as a member of the Children’s Community Nursing Team & Special School Nursing Service.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join an experienced team of Paediatric Community Nurses.

You will be an integral part of the children’s community nursing service. Working between the Elmsbank Hub and other community environments, the postholder will care for children & young people with complex health needs.

You will manage a caseload of children with complex health needs that attend the special school provision. Focus of the role will be additionally include supporting transitional needs into adulthood & ensure effective and robust contributions to the Education Health Care Planning process.
