Decontamination Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust is pleased to announce an exciting permanent opportunity within the Sterile Services Department as a Sterile Services Technician.

Our Sterile Service Department provides a daily service to the Trust covering some 12 operating theatres, clinics and some external clients in Surgical Instrument Decontamination, packing sterilization and distribution and is fully ISO13485:2016 accredited.

The service runs from 08:00 – 22:00 Monday to Friday and 10:00 – 16:00 Saturdays and Sundays. The successful will be required to work a mixture of these shifts and including weekends on a one in three rotation. All staff are also required to undertake on calls as part of this weekend work.

Applications are welcome from individuals who have previously worked in a quality driven Sterile Services or decontamination roles or similar ISO accredited manufacturing environment.

Working to strict environmental controls and detailed work instructions and with the support of a Team Leader you will be required to ensure that all instruments or equipment is processed in a timely response to meet the requirements of the Trusts clinical and operation needs.
