Post 1: Community Pediatrician and Designated Doctor for Looked After Children

Post 2: Community Pediatrician and Designated Medical Officer for SEND

 

We are currently looking for two Consultants/Speciality Doctors to join our Community Paediatrics team in this extraordinary place.

We are currently looking for a Consultant/SAS Doctors to join our Community Paediatrics team . The post holder would be joining the existing team in a journey of healthcare transformation. The provision of the Community Paediatric service locally has recently transitioned to the Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust. This provides opportunity to radically transform service delivery.

The service has been remodelled to encompass a comprehensive portfolio which includes Statutory responsibilities, Neurodisability / Neurodevelopmental and Neurology service. We are also working collaboratively with CAMHS service which locally host the ADHD and Autism pathway. The existing team also includes two Community Nurse practitioners who support the Statutory and Neurodevelopmental work. The service also maintains close links with acute Paediatric service, tertiary neonatal unit, paediatric surgery team and various other paediatric sub specialities. A key driver is to improve the overall patient experience and providing a high quality, safe, responsive and coordinated service within the local and regional health area. The service is therefore looking to appoint an individual who has the vision, drive and commitment to work flexibly and is passionate about caring for children in Hull and surrounding areas.

* The trust openly supports the CESR process and has successfully worked with a succession of Speciality Doctors to attain accreditation.

POST ONE

Community Pediatrician and Designated Doctor for Looked After Children (Consultant/Specialty Doctor) 10PA

The post holder will provide strategic advice on the health of local looked after children. This role will have responsibility for strategic service planning and advice regarding policies, adverse events, training and supervision in addition to clinical responsibilities for individual children or young people who are looked after. The post holder will also contribute to the Statutory/Neurodevelopmental clinical service. The timetable is flexible, and can be modified to reflect the special interests and expertise of the appointee

POST TWO

Community Paediatrician and Designated Medical Officer for SEND (Consultant/Specialty Doctor) 10PA

The post holder will work closely with the paediatric multi-disciplinary team in supporting all activities necessary to ensure that the health provider services and CCG meet their responsibilities for children with SEND. They will provide overall strategic direction for the local health service in meeting statutory requirements for SEND, identifying priorities for development and facilitating improvement in implementation . The post holder will also contribute to the Statutory/Neurodevelopmental clinical service. The timetable is flexible, and can be modified to reflect the special interests and expertise of the appointee.
