A post has arisen for a Dietitian to join the busy and active Dietetic Department at the Children’s Hospital in Birmingham on an 8 months fixed term contract. The hospital covers all major Paediatric specialties, and is a regional centre for oncology, cardiology, renal dialysis, gastrointestinal disorders, CF, stem cell transplant and metabolic disease and a supraregional centre for cardiothoracic surgery, hepatology and small bowel transplantation.

The post will sit within the specialist team, with opportunity to cover a range of specialties, either as a main caseload or as cover for absence, including surgery, Ketogenic Dietetics, Hepatology and Oncology.

 

We are looking for an individual with a range of post registration experience as a clinical Dietitian, including some paediatrics. The department is busy and active, and we are looking for an individual who thrives on working in a fast paced environment and is able to prioritise and reprioritise their work as need arises. You must be able to demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development, have excellent communication skills and be able to work as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team

 

In exchange you will receive training and experience in a wide range of clinical specialties, and the support of a large team of experienced paediatric Dietitians.
