NHS West Norfolk Clinical Commissioning Group (WNCCG) is a clinically-led organisation responsible for commissioning (buying) integrated health and social care for around 170,270 patients in West Norfolk.

Our aim is to ensure we commission the right integrated services in order to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of West Norfolk. To do this, we work with a range of partner agencies and individuals, including our local NHS Acute and Provider Trusts, family doctors, the Borough, District and County Councils, the voluntary sector, Commissioning Support Unit and, of course, our patients.

West Norfolk CCG has a dynamic, close -knit team, who are focused on improving people’s experience of healthcare. Our position as a relatively small CCG gives us the unique ability to be exceptionally responsive to our local members and population, dynamic in our decision making and innovative in our thinking.

We believe strongly in creating a workplace built on teamwork, whilst allowing individuals to grow and develop in their own roles.

WNCCG is one of NHS England’s pioneer sites, with ambitious plans to develop a more integrated approach to care within West Norfolk, enabling us to improve the experience of patient care and ensuring the best possible health and wellbeing outcomes for our local community.

Be in the driving seat - in a health system that’s going places. This new and challenging role is for you if you are experienced, talented and want to go places too.

It’s a big job we’re offering to the right person. You will be part of one Executive Team currently serving 5 CCGs (we are looking to create one single CCG by April 2020 and an ICS for Norfolk and Waveney by 2021).

Norfolk and Waveney is a fantastic place to live. Beautiful beaches, wonderful villages and vibrant towns. People come here to work and often stay; they build their careers here and many raise their families here too. If you already live in Norfolk you’ll know - and will relish a fresh opportunity to shine here.

Our new West Norfolk Locality Director has an opportunity to make a real difference, building on West Norfolk’s special identity and ‘system’. You will support our Primary Care Networks and primary care organisations, and strengthen even further our strong working relationships with Trusts, local authorities and community partners. Most of all you will be passionate about developing new and better ways to reduce health inequalities and improve care for all our patients.

You will be an experienced and collaborative leader with a track record of excellent delivery, leading a skilled and enthusiastic team.

But it’s not just about West Norfolk. You’ll be part of a big team of commissioning staff across all of Norfolk and Waveney. We have just attracted £135 million of capital funding for acute, mental health and primary care, plus a further £3.7 million to strengthen mental health services. We intend our STP to evolve into a dynamic transformational ICS.

Your reward? A big job that’ll get you noticed, a salary and responsibility commensurate with the importance of the role, and a chance to work in one of the best bits of the country.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
