A new opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Governance and Safeguarding Administrator to join our Clinical and Safeguarding team in Welwyn Garden City. Are you an experienced, organised administrator with excellent communications skills? If so, we would like to hear from you.


The hours for this role are 37.5 per week, Monday – Friday, £18, 427 per annum


The Role:

You will be working as part of the Clinical and Safeguarding team to help facilitate the successful running of the department; supporting with administration activities and assisting with the administration of incidents, information requests, reports, data entry and general enquiries.


Job Summary:

  • Support in the collation of call recordings and updating HUC’s Incident Management system (Datix)
  • Manage and facilitate information requests, including the transcribing of calls & liaising with clinical members of staff as appropriate
  • Support the Clinical Assistant in duties relating to safeguarding reports and information
  • Assist in the collation of reports for HUC’s various stakeholders; including data-entry and cross-referencing different reports to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Support in the collation of data and creation of reports for Incident and Serious Incident investigations.


Role Expectations

  • GCSE A-C in English
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders over the telephone
  • Good IT proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to reprioritise work as required
  • Good  attention to detail
  • A team orientated approach and willingness to support colleagues.
  • Demonstrates initiative and a problem solving approach to issues that arise
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure with a flexible can do approach to work
