Dorset HealthCare is the first mental health trust providing community services in the South to be given an Outstanding rating by the care quality commission (CQC) – and one of only a small handful nationally.

Are you interested in working within an expanding and developing Liaison Psychiatry Service which has been PLAN accredited by the Royal College of Psychiatrists?

If so then we would like you to apply for this newly created Consultant Liaison Psychiatry post. This post is being advertised as full time (10 PA), the Trust will consider all applications including those wanting to work flexibly. The post holder will be required to work across Poole and Bournemouth Hospitals with the aim to provide a comprehensive service across both Hospitals. Working alongside two experienced consultant colleagues.

The Liaison Psychiatry Service operate 24 hours a day to cover the hospital Emergency Department and all hospital wards (except paediatric wards) it also takes referrals for patients aged 18 and over, including older adults.

The successful candidate must ensure the relevant professional registration is maintained, including Section 12, Approved Clinician, and Responsible Clinician status and will be incorporated into the senior On-Call rota which is currently 1 in 17.
