We are looking for a Physiotherapist to join our Community Musculo-Skeletal Service to act as a First Contact Physiotherapist working in one of our Integrated Care Communities (ICC’s) and be based within GP practices in the Ulverston area. Therefore you must have the ability to work and travel to various sites across the Trust independent of public transport

This is an exciting development in the transformation of musculo-skeletal services in the Morecambe Bay area. You will work closely with GP colleagues, community MSK physiotherapy team and the iMSK orthopaedic triage service to assess patients who have self-referred to GP practice based Physiotherapy services. This post is for a 6 month period. Applications welcome for a fixed term employment period or secondment opportunity.

Working together to deliver care to patients you will need to:

  • have completed a range of core rotations within the NHS as a physiotherapist with a desire to develop your clinical skills further
  • demonstrate and evidence your own professional development
  • demonstrate your ability to work independently when necessary
  • Have a friendly and flexible attitude, which is patient focused and dedicated to quality care
  • develop close working relationships with colleagues in primary care and the wider MDT.

Anyone newly appointed to the trust will be subject to the completion of a satisfactory 6 month probationary period (this includes bank staff). This will give the new staff member an opportunity to become familiar with the role and working environment.
