We are looking to recruit to the post of head of service, clinical who will:

Work closely with other clinical, medical and operational leads, along with key stakeholders within the care setting. The post holder will provide clinical leadership and direction to the service supporting the integration and transformation of service delivery.

Be responsible for developing new and innovative clinical practices and pathways across primary care, substance misuse, medicines management and mental health, responding to emerging knowledge and system changes by interpreting and implementing national and local drivers.

Ensure the service provides high quality care and delivers on key quality improvements such as CQUIN, DQUIP and SDIP managing risks as appropriate.

Act as a highly specialist source of information and support for other professionals and agencies across the broad health and social care context.

We are looking for a leader and role model, with excellent organisation and communication skills with extensive clinical experience and a proven track record of highly effective leadership skills. You must come from a nursing (general, learning disability, children's or mental health specialities) or other relevant AHP background. Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate highly developed clinical/therapeutic expertise alongside an ability to motivate, develop and hold others to account.

Due to the current fast pace of service change within the service, the successful candidate must be able to work under pressure in order to effectively manage workloads and be able to respond to unpredictable service demands. Experience within this specialist area of work along with experience of working with children would be beneficial but is not an essential requirement for this post.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
