Advanced Radiographer MRI

Band 7

Paul Strickland Scanner Centre provides CT, MRI and PET/CT imaging for both oncology patients and the wider community, serving both the NHS and private sectors as well as being part of large integrated research programmes. The Centre works closely with the adjacent Mount Vernon Cancer Centre. We also have links with a range of academic centres. Each of these roles requires high levels of clinical expertise, flexibility, autonomy, leadership capabilities and the ability to deal with the ever-changing workload.

The Advanced Radiographer position includes an adaptable specialist rotation through all three diagnostic imaging modalities in the Centre. There are opportunities to learn and refine a range of imaging skills and participate in research. Full or part time applications are welcome.

The department is forward thinking and invests time and resources in its staff. This is achieved by providing a range of training opportunities and actively encouraging CPD, in-house training and further post-graduate study. If you enjoy a challenge and relish the prospect of gaining real expertise, particularly in cancer scanning, you should consider applying one of these roles.

We have 6 scanners, a Siemens 1.5T MRI Avanto-fit, Siemens 3.0T MRI Prisma-fit, Siemens Aera, Siemens Force Dual Source, Dual Energy CT scanner, GE VCT PET/CT, and Siemens Biograph PET/CT scanner.

The Centre is a registered charity (No 298867); open since 1985, however, all staff are employed on standard NHS contracts. We are based in outer London, in pleasant countryside with easy access to central London with bus, tube and road links to the rest of the country. Single accommodation is available.
