As a Housekeeper you will be responsible for providing an excellent housekeeping service ensuring a clean safe environment for our patients, visitors and staff. You will be an important part of the team that ensures patients in our care feel valued as an individual.

Most patients and residents are referred via NHS and local authorities. We play an integral part in contributing to new models of care outlined in the Five Year Forward View.

As a Housekeeper your main duties will be:

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with the Company and regulatory expectations and requirements
  • Creating a pleasant and well maintained environment which will include the immediate external environment
  • Using equipment, materials and machinery to ensure all work is carried out effectively
  • Providing cleaning duties which will include cleaning, washing, sweeping, scrubbing, sanitising, shampooing, reproofing of flame retardant materials, vacuum cleaning, dusting, polishing, damp wiping of all areas within the centre and removal of rubbish and discarded items
  • Providing laundry duties which will include separating, washing and ironing of client’s clothes, bed and table linen, curtains and soft furnishings and reproofing where required
  • Reporting of any hazards defects or damage to property or equipment to the Nurse in Charge/Care Manager/Business Manager without delay.
  • Working as part of an important part of the team that ensures patients in our care feel valued as an individual.

Working pattern details: Shifts are 5-7pm (7 hours per week) based on a working rota which would also include Saturday, Sundays and bank holidays.

An enhanced DBS (England) or PVG/Disclosure Scotland (Scotland) Disclosure will be required for all successful applicants. Costs will be met by the Company.
