Locum Consultant in Paediatric Intensive Care & Paediatric Intensive Care transport (KIDS)

12 months Fixed Term

Basic Salary £77,913 - £105,042 per annum (based on 10 PA’s)

Applications are invited for a Locum Consultant post in Paediatric Intensive Care & Paediatric Intensive Care transport (KIDS) at Birmingham Women’s & Children’s NHS Foundation Trust (BWC) on a 70(PICU):30(KIDS) basis.

The Paediatric Intensive Care at BWC is one of the largest units in the country, currently staffed for 31 beds supporting a wide range of general and specialist medical and surgical specialities, including supra-regional services.

Kids Intensive Care and Decision Support (KIDS) is the regional Paediatric Intensive Care transport service for critically ill children in the West Midlands. KIDS serves 20 district general hospitals and receive over 1200 referrals in a year.

The appointee will join the dedicated KIDS and PIC teams to provide high quality service, maintain standards and protocols, provide teaching and training.
