Do you have a genuine passion for helping people to lose weight? An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated band 6 specialist dietitian to join our dynamic team within a Tier 3 Specialist Weight Management service, delivering high quality dietetic care to obese patients across the city.

The post holder will work with patients who have been assessed via a Tier 3 Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT), and should ideally have experience of working within a weight management service. This is a rewarding and challenging post where you will have the opportunity to demonstrate excellent communication and behaviour change skills in both a 1-2-1 and group setting.

The post holder will have a good understanding of the, at times, complex needs of obese individuals and will enjoy helping others to lose weight through empowerment and motivation. The post holder will also have the opportunity to work alongside a range of specialists as part of an MDT, and be involved in assessing and discussing patients who are considering progressing onto a Tier 4 service to be considered for bariatric surgery. Applicants should be HCPC registered dietitians, with relevant post registration dietetic experience.

Excellent time management and organisational skills are essential as the successful candidate will be expected to manage a busy caseload, ensuring all patients are adequately supported to help work towards their weight loss related goals. The post holder will also be responsible for providing clinical supervision to other team members.
