We are currently looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Administrator to join our busy JRU/Sarcoma department

Duties for this post will include:

  • Scheduling patient appointments, sending appointment letters, updating the appointment system (ICS)
  • Dealing with telephone enquiries and emails from Trust medical staff, patients and external organisations
  • Keeping ERS system appointments up to date and dealing with any related enquiries
  • Providing cross-cover for other administrative/secretarial staff during times of absence
  • General office administration as directed by the manager

While concentration and meticulous attention to detail is required in all aspects of the post, of most importance is your commitment to provide a quality service, which will be demonstrated through excellent organisational skills, and a conscientious approach in all aspects of the job role.

The successful applicant must:

  • Be confident in communicating well at all levels with good customer care skills
  • Be confident in the use of Microsoft office applications, PAS and excel spread sheets
  • Have a good standard of general education (with GCSE English Language or equivalent at Grade C or above)
  • Have a flexible and adaptable approach to their workload
