We are looking for Advanced Nurse Practitioners to join the organisation to support the delivery of the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) in Harlow. Offering Bank and contracted hours. If you are passionate about helping others and have a patient centred approach, we want to hear from you.

Who are we?

HUCprovides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Healthcare services in the east. When patients are ill and need the right medical attention, they can phoneNHS111provided by HUC to access medical advice, assessment and treatment. We also provide a range of other healthcare services to support patients and GPs, including Extended Access services across West Essex, running GP practices and urgent care centres.

The Role:

You will clinically assess patients in HUC’s Out of Hours base located at Lister House, Harlow. As part of the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) team, with GP colleagues and Pharmacists you will form part of a wider Clinical workforce team, assessing, receiving patients as they present with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, offering treatment, advice or referral as appropriate.

Shifts are available to book 3 months in advance, bank terms apply.

Current shifts available:

Saturdays and Sundays: 8am-1pm; 1pm-6pm and 6pm-11pm

Job Summary:

Working as part of a 24/7 multi disciplinary team, hours for this location arepredominantly at theweekends and bank holidays.

This role offers a combination of face to face consultations and telephone triage.

Role Expectations:

We are looking for qualified clinicians to support HUC's delivery of outstanding patient care.

You must be a Registered General Nurse and have:

  • Minor Illness and Prescribing qualifications
  • Experience of working in an urgent care setting/primary care
  • Confident in making decisions autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of SystmOne is an advantage

Current Pay Rates:

Weekend hourly rates of pay are:

  • £39.84 8am - 6pm
  • £41.25 6pm - 11pm

Plus bank holiday enhancements.

On-boarding Process:

If successful, you will be paid to complete a full day’s induction, which will include system training, followed by buddy shifts to prepare you for the role.

As HUC is an organisation commissioned by the NHS, all roles are listed on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (SI 1975/1023), which means they are eligible for a standard or enhanced check as appropriate from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
