Ambulatory Care

Phlebotomist Band 2 – Part Time (0.65WT) x 2

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our skilled phlebotomy team. The Phlebotomy team work in both inpatient and outpatient areas across all areas of the hospital providing essential support to the wards and clinics, covering cardiology, surgery, specialist respiratory and transplant patients.

The phlebotomy team are based within a dedicated phlebotomy area in the Outpatient Department, whilst still providing a service to the wards. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a brand new environment at a time where we are developing our phlebotomy team. Once you are confident in the core venepuncture skills, there are opportunities to extend the role with additional skills at a band 3 level.

The successful applicant would be caring and have excellent communication skill. Previous experience of venepuncture would be an advantage but is not essential as full training will be given. Different working patterns would be considered but the shift pattern is 7.5hr days during the week starting at 7:30 or 8:00 and will involve covering approximately one weekend in four  (7:30-11:30).
