Are you a registered paediatric nurse with experience or interest in Ophthalmology? Are you a registered paediatric nurse with experience or interest in Ophthalmology?

We are looking for a highly motivated staff nurse to join our experienced Ophthalmology team to maintain the high standards of care we strive for within Ophthalmology. The successful candidate will be based in Outpatients in our child friendly hospital in the park and will work in collaboration with a dynamic multi-professional team of Ophthalmologists, Optometrists and Orthoptists.

You will possess excellent communication skills and have experience of team and autonomous working. A keen interest in ophthalmology, together with knowledge and experience in this specialty is highly desirable. Previous ophthalmology experience however is not essential as full training will be provided. A full preceptorship and clinical competency package will be offered to the successful candidate.

A kind and caring nature, accompanied by a commitment to deliver care to the highest standard to promote a positive patient experience is essential for this post.

The position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week and the post holder will be expected to work flexibly across the 5 day working week between the Outpatient opening times of 08:00-18:00 according to service needs.
