Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Job Reference: 412-COMM-942

Employer:
Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Department:
Paeds Speech & Language Therapy Team
Location:
Crewe
Salary:
Band 6 £30401 to £37267 per annum, pro rata

Do you enjoy working with children in fun and forward thinking educational settings? Then we have the job for you...

We are looking to recruit an innovative Speech and Language Therapist to join our team of Therapists and Assistants working in our special Schools in the Vale Royal area.

Children within the schools age from 2-19, and have complex communication needs and/or dysphagia. Both educational settings are built on strong collaborative working relationships between Health and education staff to achieve the best possible outcomes for the children. There is a strong contingent of health colleagues within both settings, which allows for excellent joined up working.

There will be support from Advanced Clinical Specialists and the locality team manager. The successful applicant would be an integral part of a small supportive team working closely with Speech and Language Therapy colleagues and other professionals. Training and personal development with the service is encouraged and the opportunity for post graduate dysphagia training and supervision would be supported. This is a whole year post (not term time only), and so in school holidays there would be opportunities to complete some clinic work or community visits.

If this sounds like something that you are interested in please feel free to give us a call or send us an email to have a chat!

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. The UK Visas and Immigration department requires employers to complete this test to show that no suitably qualified EEA or EU worker can fill the post. For further information please visit the UK Visas and Immigration website.

From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
