An opportunity has arisen for an engaging, dynamic and highly motivated Senior Manager to provide inspirational leadership to the Service Improvement Team. The post holder will focus on developing a culture of programme and project management excellence and will be committed to supporting the organisation in delivering its portfolio of change. Through robust service redesign, implementation and sustainability, they will be a champion for maintaining high quality standards and an exemplar for those leading change across the organisation. They will require significant political and organisational 'insight' in order to influence and shape emerging change proposals, lead a variety of programmes to support the delivery of key transformation objectives within the Trust.

The successful applicant will lead on assisting Senior Responsible Owners with the initiation, design, implementation and sustainability of change programmes. These will be aligned to achieving significant, sustained change to the safety, quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the Trust. They will ensure the impact of change is fully evaluated and communicated and that lessons are learned for future programmes. The Head of Service Improvement Team will have to establish close relationships with clinical leaders who are central to many of the programmes within the portfolio of change. Moreover, they will be required to maintain a robust approach to the scoping and planning of all change programmes so that SROs and change programme teams can take full ownership of a transparent and clearly defined suite of programme documents.

The work of the post holder will include checking that the assurance evidence base is consistently and diligently maintained so that the level of confidence in the delivery of change can be readily transmitted from the programme teams through to the Trust Board of Directors. They will be responsible for managing the Service Improvement Team to support change programmes across the Trust and promoting a climate of positive change management and clinical engagement.
