Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust was formed on Tuesday 1st October 2019, following the merger of 2gether NHS Foundation Trust and Gloucestershire Care Services NHS Trust. The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.


CLINICAL DIRECTOR – COMMUNITY DENTAL SERVICES

Band: C

Salary: £73,770 - £84,780

Hours: 37.5 hours per week - requests for flexible working are encouraged

This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated, innovative and forward thinking individual to join us here at Gloucestershire care services in the role of Clinical Director for the Community Dental Services

This is an exciting opportunity to join Gloucestershire Community Dental Service during a period of transformation. We are looking for an enthusiastic and positive individual to lead a team of experienced dentists, dental therapists and nurses through this period of change while continuing to deliver an efficient, effective and timely dental service to patients across Gloucestershire.

This post will be an excellent development opportunity for an experienced Dentist, inside or outside of the current Dental Service, who wish to enhance their skills and learning in a senior leadership role and gain transformational experience in working towards the vision of an outstanding Community Dental service.

You will provide clinical and managerial leadership to Community Dental Services, delivering a core service in line with commissioning specifications, including Special Care and Paediatric Dentistry, Sedation, Unscheduled Dental Care and Public Health Functions.

Flexible working arrangements will be considered. Any request will be set against genuine operational requirements and limitations and it is not obligatory for a manager to accede to the request.

For positions Band 8a and above there is a requirement to participate in an on-call rota to ensure a high quality of care for patients at all times and continued support to all staff with access to the right knowledge and expertise.
