We are looking to appoint a Speciality doctor in Acute Medicine for West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust, based at Watford General Hospital.

The post is for a 1-year fixed term contract.

This is an exciting post designed to provide registrar level/equivalent duties and support the Consultant Acute Physicians and team in Acute Admission Unit.

The successful post-holder will be, joining a dynamic and passionate team with a strong consultant and nursing leadership. The purpose of the post is to provide skilled clinical care to patients in the Acute Admission Unit. The acute physicians are currently supported by 3 specialty doctors, 7 FY1, 5 FY2, 1 ACCS trainee and a specialist nursing team. This post will give the successful candidate a unique opportunity to gain experience in Acute Medical Care.

West Hertfordshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides acute healthcare services to a core catchment population of approximately half a million people living in west Hertfordshire and the surrounding area. Overall, the population served by the Trust is relatively affluent, but there are some areas of deprivation.
