We have an exciting opportunity for a professional, passionate and committed ESP to join our Spinal Assessment team in Colchester. We are looking for a Physiotherapist with a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience working in an MSK setting with significant knowledge, skill and experience in the assessment and management of patients presenting with a wide range of acute, complex and chronic spinal conditions. You will be working closely alongside the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust Spinal Consultants and ACE Pain Team and be skilled at presenting cases confidently, concisely and efficiently at weekly spinal MDTs. The successful candidate will ideally have experience working as an Extended Scope Practitioner in the speciality with experience in triage of a full range of complex MSK pathologies, requesting diagnostics as necessary, patient pathway management and regular communication with GPs and patients. A developmental post may be considered for physiotherapists who wish to develop into this role through mentorship and a programme of competencies. You will embrace innovation and integrated working and will be committed to following best practice to ensure patient centered care.

 

Anglian Community Enterprise has been awarded the Care Closer to Homecontract by the North East Essex CCG and is committed to offering the people of North East Essex an integrated and seamless network of patient-centred services based closer to where they live and in their communities wherever possible. As a result you will need to be flexible and able to work at various sites across North East Essex in line with service requirements.

We offer a well-established supervision and appraisal structure and we have a firm commitment to CPD, evidence based practice, undergraduate and postgraduate education. You will have the opportunity to participate in the provision of regular in-service training alongside our Sports Medicine Consultants and MSK ESPs. You will be providing clinical leadership to your area and be actively involved in service development. You will need to work on your own initiative and hold some line management responsibilities.

We operate a probationary policy and all new staff will be subject to a 6 month probationary period. All Qualified Nurses will be required to undertake a Drug Calculation Test as part of this probationary period
