We treat 250,000 young patients a year and safely perform over 13,000 surgical procedures. Our catchment area has a population of over 7m, stretching from Cumbria, through Lancashire, Merseyside, most of Cheshire, parts of Shropshire, North Wales and the Isle of Man.

This is a clinical fellowship 12 month post commencing in 2019/2020 aimed at trainees coming to the end of or having finished their neurosurgical training, who have a specific interest in paediatric surgery. The post will be based at Alder Hey neurosurgical department and involves working with the paediatric surgeons.

This service provides tertiary paediatric neurosurgical cover for children from Merseyside, Cheshire, parts of Lancashire, Shropshire, Isle of Man, North Wales and Northern Ireland. The total population base is over 5 million. The department are currently looking for individuals who are able to come and spend time working with our prestigious department in 2019 or 2020.
