Leeds Community Healthcare NHS Trust has a good track record of delivering financial objectives and an opportunity has arisen for someone to join this small successful team on a fixed term contract or secondment for twelve months to cover maternity leave.

The Financial Accountant provides operational leadership to support the Senior Financial Accountant in providing a comprehensive financial accounts function for the Trust. This includes day to day co-ordination of the provision of Financial Services and ensuring that financial accounting information is processed in accordance with agreed procedures in order to provide accurate and timely information for Annual Accounts and other statutory or required returns.

You will be CCAB qualified and be able to clearly demonstrate from your skills and experiences how you can take responsibility for this role. As a senior member of the Trust's finance team you will be pro-active in ensuring that your responsibilities are delivered and that you can support others to deliver their objectives.

You will have a leadership style which is underpinned by strongly held values around equality, diversity and openness; effectively building and maintaining relationships with direct reportee(s) and other key individuals across the organisation; ensuring staff are clear about their responsibilities in delivering results and inspiring others to be positive in their pursuit of continuous improvement.

If you are successful in being offered a position which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost (Enhanced £48.83 or Standard £30) from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
