Locum Speciality Doctor in Histopathology
Applications are invited for a Locum Specialty Doctor in Histopathology at Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe. This post is a replacement with the successful candidate joining a team of Consultant Histopathologists based at Leighton Hospital in Crewe. The Histopathology department also serves East Cheshire NHS Trust, Macclesfield Hospital but apart from post mortems, all work is centralised on the Leighton Hospital site.
The department has full UKAS accreditation and is recognised for Specialist Registrar training.
We are looking for someone with wide general training and experience in Histopathology. Whilst there would be overall Consultant supervision the successful candidate needs to be capable of independent practice and reporting. Involvement in autopsy practice would be useful although not essential.
There is no requirement to report cervical screening cytology.
Applicants must have full registration with the GMC including a License to Practice.
