We are looking for a scanning clerk to join our service. This post is for 2 days per week to work with the Mainstream Schools Team and will be based at Flockton House, 18-20 Union Road, Sheffield S11 9EF.

We will consider applicants who wish to work these hours across a number of days (e.g. 3 hours a day across 5 days, 5 hours a day across three days or 7 ½ hours a day across two days). The successful candidate will have some experience of scanning and will have worked as a part of a team. They will be able to demonstrate excellent scanning skills, be able to prioritise jobs according to deadlines, work flexibly and use their initiative. The successful candidate will: • Ensure that casenotes required for team members are scanned in a timely manner. • Help the team’s operational systems by maintaining the assessment booking forms, keeping paperwork trays in the work offices filled. • To enter team data into spreadsheets and computer systems. • To help post therapy materials, reports and letters. • To make up clinical resources for the team and/or photocopy when appropriate.

The post holder will be responsible to the Mainstream Schools Team Leaders. Sheffield Children’s Speech & Language Therapy operates on a city wide basis. In line with other NHS Organisations in the Yorkshire and Humber Region a successful candidate appointed into a post within this Trust will be required to pay the DBS check fee (£49). This is customarily payable over 4 months as a salary deduction once employed by the Trust. If you receive a conditional offer letter, complete your DBS application and later withdraw from the recruitment process, an invoice will be raised via the Trust's finance department to recoup the outlay.
