Mid Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust manages Leighton Hospital in Crewe, Victoria Infirmary in Northwich and Elmhurst Intermediate Care Centre in Winsford. We are the Lead Employer for Central Cheshire Integrated Care Partnership (CCICP) which aims to transform, develop and deliver health care services in the community.

Following an NHSI initiative to establish 29 Pathology networks across England the University Hospital of North Midlands is currently working closely with Mid and East Cheshire NHS Trusts to establish a Pathology network across Staffordshire and Cheshire.


An opportunity has arisen to join a friendly, proactive Dietetic service with an excellent reputation for its work in both the hospital and community setting.

The successful candidates will be part of the band 5 rotation within our acute team. They will provide a service to in-patients and out-patients clinics based at Leighton Hospital and community visits across our locality. This post offers the opportunity for a newly qualified dietitian to develop their clinical skills within the acute and community setting in a wide variety of areas including medicine, orthopaedics, enteral nutrition and surgery. The team includes specialist dietitians for adult stroke, gastroenterology, home enteral feeding, prescribing support and surgery and there will be opportunities for further clinical development within these specialist fields.

Our service is committed to the training of student dietitians and other health care professionals. The post holder will be involved in on-going staff training including nutritional screening in the acute and community setting and patient education for cardiac rehabilitation and Type 2 diabetes in the community.

The department encourages innovation and supports continuous professional development. We have excellent IT facilities and secretarial support.
