Are you looking to start your journey in NHS Management? If yes, this role is for you. This role will give you the opportunity to learn all the basic aspects of NHS management including HR Management, Capacity & Demand, Medical Job Plans and Performance Monitoring and Management.

This is a new and exciting role with the Division and is offered for a fixed term period of 12 months from August 2019. The role is ideal for an individual with experience within the NHS who now wants to commence their journey as a NHS Manager.

Medicine and Emergency Care is a challenging Division with a wide variety of sub-specialties, therefore giving the successful applicant the opportunity to learn many different aspects of managing a complex area. The role will support and assist the Service Management Team in Medicine and Emergency Care to deliver the objectives of the Division.

The post holder will assist the Support Manager in managing the administrative team and support in ensuring effective service delivery including monitoring performance targets. A key aspect of the role will be the validation of waiting lists to support the Division in achieving key objectives including waiting times and Referral to Treatment (RTT).

The successful applicant will also be able to organise and monitor locum consultant job plans, including clinic management and to co-ordinate their activities to ensure that an efficient service is provided.

The post holder will be expected to monitor and assess workload amongst the team, including being able to identify and step-in to fill gaps, to ensure continuity of services.

It is essential that the post holder is able to exercise initiative suitable to the role and is fully supportive to other colleagues in the administrative team.
